Ecosocialist Horizons Hour: May 22, 2013

May 23, 2013

This is a special show in commemoration of the 99th year of the resonance of Sun Ra on Planet Earth, and here we take up his “mission impossible” to save the planet. We are proud in this context to present part two of an extended conversation with one of the leading poets and writers of our time, Peter Lamborn Wilson. In part two, we will look into the question posed during last week’s show: what would science look like if the state had never arisen? How has science been shaped by today’s matrix of capitalism and the national security state, and how can an alternative vision and practice of science help build a revolution? Interested in bioremediation as art, and art as bioremediation? Not only does it have a future, but there will be no future without it.
